Here’s why...To awaken Buffy, Xander was the one who kissed her, out of true love. Buffy is aware of this but the subject was not pursued. That’s just one clue that they will eventually hook up. She’s working so closely with him now, it is inevitable. Anyone out there agree? Disagree?

I think you need to go back and reread that.  Buffy smells cinnamon buns as she woke up.  It wasn’t Xander that kissed her, it was that slayer that was putting on cinnamon lipgloss.  And really, looks to me like Buffy’s just got the hungry and horny going on and Xander’s the only guy around plus always there for her, so she dreamed a little of him. At the same point.. she also dreamed of herself in a nurse’s uniform in a threesome with Angel and Spike.. you may be reaching a little

It’s funny, but my misguided prediction was made a day or two before issue number 11 came out of Buffy season 8. In that issue Buffy gives away the clue as to who had kissed her. Yes, you are right and I was wrong. Oh well, still, it would be nice if they hooked up, as Xander and Buffy do spend alot of time together. Is it possible Buffy falls for a woman? I guess anything is possible. Oh well, so much for the Buffy and Xander thread. Time to think up a new one.
Did you know it was Sarah Michelle Gellar who chose not to do an 8th season of Buffy. I know this is old news but my love of the Buffyverse did not begin until 2005 so I was a tad late getting on board. Still, she must have pissed off quite a few fans when she decided not to come back.
Still, I don’t know what it is about season 8 in comic format, but to me it is all a work of art. On every release date I rush out and buy both the regular copy and the variant copy of Buffy. Does this make me a fan(atic)? All my Buffy and Angel novels lying around, all the ones taken out of the library, the ones at hold at the book store, yea, I can say in all honesty that I am hooked, line and sinker to the world of Buffy. Now if only that 300 million dollar Buffy movie would come out!!!

Eeek, I don’t have 11 yet (in the mail from Things From Another World since I can’t find a comic shop near that’s carrying it).  I just figured it out reading the comics.  I love my Buffy, and was overjoyed to find out about the comic season 8.  And then I found Angel season 7 too!

Here in Connecticut, there are 2 comic book shops in the New Haven area that sell Buffy/Angel season 8 and season 6 comics and I am thankful for them. The one I go to mostly is called Alternate Universe on Chapel street (203-562-0108). They carry everything including the Star Wars “Vector” story which if you are a fan of SW I heard is not to be missed. A year long story arching 4 different comic universes over a 4000 year span, or something like that. Still, nothing right now compares to Buffy season 8, not even Angel season 6 seems (to me) to be as good as Buffy S8.
Now you, who knew who had kissed Buffy even b4 issue 11 came out means you are quite intuitive. She woke up saying, “cinnamon buns"m which was the lip gloss scent from the other slayer that woke her up. Since you already knew this, I am not spoiling anything by confirming what you had told me in the first place.
Did you go online yet to see Buffy cover #14 of S8? They allow you to see the 1st 5 pages of that issue too if you so wish to see them. I thought that was pretty cool, even if only a tease. Hey, do you have any idea how long S8 will go? I mean how many issues will it be? At first I had read somewhere that it could be as big as 50 issues and as small as 22 issues, the same number of eps from any season = 22. Still, if 22 seems small, then 50 months sounds way long too to wait for the end of S8. Not that I would complain, no, no. Last week I bought a variant copy of issue one of Angel S6 for $20. Yes, I felt foolish, but no as foolish as if I bought the $100 issue of #1 S6 which I have seen offered on the Dark Horse website. It came out on 1/30/08. Would you ever consider buying a $100 copy of any comic even if it is 20 times more rare than the regular issue. All you can do is hold it and sell it later?
So tell me also, did you read issue #3 of Angel S6 yet? Wow, what an ending!! A total shock it was and still is.
